How will the ADT ensure the academy offers a comprehensive work-based learning (WBL) program, covering career awareness, exploration, and preparation?

Guiding Questions

Use the guiding questions to structure meeting agendas and facilitate a discussion aimed at developing the academy framework.

1. Gain an understanding of NAF’s Outcomes- Driven approach to WBL (ODWBL), which defines 3 main outcomes for NAF students to achieve.

1. How will the academy use the 3 WBL outcomes to inform the development of the WBL plan and calendar?

2. Review the WBL Continuum and activity definitions and begin identifying potential activities.

2. What WBL activities does the academy want to start considering for their plan?

3. Identify the roles and responsibilities of the stakeholders who will be involved in WBL activities.

3. How will the academy ensure effective coordination of WBL activities? Will there be a WBL coordinator?

4. Develop a WBL plan and calendar focusing on 9th and 10th grades with advisory board support and participation.

4. How will the ADT involve stakeholders in developing the WBL plan?

5. Determine how the academy will collect individual student-level data to track WBL outcomes and student feedback.

5. Will the academy use NAF’s WBL Participation Tracker (recommended) or another tool to track student impact?
